About Me
My name is Robert Luckett, aged 22 and currently living in Brentwood, Essex, England. I am a creative mercenary for hire, specialising in the fields of freelance Animation, Games Design and Illustration.
Qualifications
I have just finished a BA (Hons) in Games Design at the University of Lincoln, for which I received an Upper Second Class Honours (2:1). During the course I learnt the necessities of project management and my own strengths in design ideas, illustration and 2d animation. Several Client Set briefs provided a look at, and nugget of experience in, the Games Design Industry. Experience and Skills
Having used computer graphical programs from an early age, I have a large amount of experience in computer illustration. My current software weapons of choice are Corel’s latest packages; Paint Shop Pro X and Painter IX. I also have experience in web-design, mostly from the graphical side of design as opposed to complex coding. Using 2d animation skills, I have also gained experience in making animated movies frame-by-frame and using Flash MX. This animation skill has also been used to create pixel-art and sprite animations for several 2d game projects in the past. I also ran a webcomic for the better part of 2 years with a ‘Monday – Wednesday – Friday’ format in full colour!
Work Availability
Currently a freelance creative mercenary, I am available for all sorts of jobs and commissions. This includes:
- Freelance Animation (small avatars, music videos, pilot episodes)
- Sequential Illustration (storyboards, comics)
- Illustration (album art, cover art, concept art etc)
- Design Documentation (Game Design, Script Writing, Project Management)
- Website Design (graphical/visual side of design, not coding)
- 2d Game Illustration (sprite work, level art and design, textures/tiling)
